We advise that you clean the tent regularly with lukewarm water and a gentle brush, dust and mud are simple to remove in this way. Oil spots can possibly be removed by slightly brushing and a mild soap. Solvents such as petrol or salts can best be washed down with lukewarm water.
Never try to remove spots with solvents. the substance of the fabric and coating can be damaged in this way and further deteriorate.
Aluminium tent poles are strong and lightweight but slightly sensitive to corrosion. It is a good idea to treat the tent poles with a thin layer of silicone spray.
Check also if there are knocks, scratches or metal rags in the tent poles, these can considerably shorten their life span. |
Zips should be cleaned regularly, dust and dirt can be removed with a little brush from the teeth of the zip, this will run smoother with less wear.
Lubricate the zips with a silicone Spray.
Always dry a tent very well, especially after cleaning and before it is stored away. Even artificial fibre tents can develop mould and rot.
